Paramakudi Government Arts College is one of the affiliated College of Karaikudi Alagappa University. It was established in 1995-1996 by Tamilnadu Government. It was Re-Accredited by NAAC with B. Initially it has been B.Sc.,(Bio-Chemistry),B.Sc.,(Computer Science), B.Sc.,(Electronics), B.B.A, B.Com.,(Corporate Secretary) courses. Department was introduced in 1995-1996. In 2004-2005 Tamilnadu Government permitted to start the MBA course. In 2012 new course started with B.A. History, B.Sc. Chemistry. Tamilnadu Government was introduce two SHIFT method(Morning shift(9.00-1.30), Evening shift(1.30-6.00)) for poor student's higher studies. M.Sc.,(computer science) was started in 2008-2009. 2012 stated new courses M.A. Tamil, M.A. English, M.sc Maths, and M.Phil (Commerce, Management, Electronics), Ph.D (Management, Electronics). Our college also contains library and Laboratory for several departments separately. The important goal of Paramakudi Government Arts College is serve higher studies to poor people and teach Love, Discipline, Knowledge to students. .
